I too am dealing with the same situation.  My son is a 16 year old athlete who has begun having severe headaches and a blood pressure about the same as yours sons.  We have had and MRI and MRA and several x-rays of his head.  No answers.  Have you had any luck?  We will be taking him to a larger hospital today for hopefully some answers.

Hi.  I just came across your post. I was wondering what was happening with your son. My son too was getting headaches and after home monitoring and a 24 hour blood pressure monitor was diagnosed with HBP. He is now on Hyzaar which makes me very unhappy.  We are trying more exercise and weight loss to see if it improves.  What did your dr. test for.  My guy didn't really test for anything but put him on the meds. Please let me know, I need some feedback.

    Thanks, Barbara F in NY

I just had the same exact experience.  My 14-year-old had a headache and his BP wa 154/92.  They are sending us for an echo tomorrow.  Do you have any other information since you're original post?
