My doctor scares me

By LeeInOceanside Saturday, March 05, 2011

I have a doctor I see thru a community clinic since I cannot afford regular insurance. I am 54 with diabetes and high blood pressure problems. Sometimes my blood pressure goes up to 240/130 at which time I head for the emergency room and waiti it out until my meds bring it down. Twice they would not go down so I checked in. After an hour in the ER my BP headed towards its usual 140ish/90ish. Right now as I type it is 100/70. It changes so much. Anyway, I check my BP quite a few times a day. I know when my BP is high. So I get worried when I can feel it going out of range.

Point: I tell my doctor that sometimes my BP goes up to 240. HE TELLS ME TO STOP TAKING MY BP AND NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. He says I have something called 'tricardia' or something like that. My question is 'is this guy right, should i not worry or should i get someone else to help me in these matters? Thanks.
