controlling/ lowering blood pressure
fm
Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 05:16 PMI have high blood pressure that I brought under control/lowered by doing the following: 1. limit coffee to not more than 2 cups per day and only before noon; 2. including 1/2 cup to 1 cup per day of Kellog's All Bran in my meal plan (the one that has 12 grams of fibre in it; 3. including 2 to 3 cups of non-starchy vegetables (either raw or steamed lightly) per day in my meal plan (salad is included in this amount); 4. walking for 30 minutes minumum per day (cutting the grass for 1 hour worked great); 5. I purchased a blood pressure monitor to keep track of my blood pressure several times during the day and I also check my blood pressure about 2 hours after eating different foods to see how those foods affect my blood pressure; 6. I started drinking green tea; 7. I also started eating bread that has the sprouted grains and/or russian dark rye bread; 8. Not going longer than 4 hours without eating. The above has worked for me (now my blood pressure may spike every couple of weeks rather than every day)
