As a high BP patient for nearly 1.5 years, I check my pressure 3 times daily. I am also battling a heart disease problem as well (Atrial Fibrilation), and happily my EKG tests over the past 6-8 months has shown my heart rate to have returned to normalcy, according to my cardiologist. It should be noted that my AFIB problem preceeded the high BP disease, yet, the latter problem continues to be a thorn in my side, and has not subsided. It fluctuates from day to day with readings on a given day at, say in the morning my reading is 127/76, then drop to 118/74 in mid day, then jump to 140/85 in the evening. These rapid changes are usually accompanied by one or both of the following physical symtoms: walking becomes difficult as if my feet and legs were in concrete.....my neck stiffens...a get sleepy.....my head throbs and pounds....headaches generally follows....dizziness sets in. My cardiologist has prescribed the medication, ANACAND, which I have been taking for l.5 years to control my blood pressure. I have reached stage 1 more times than, stage 2. I have a question that has been on my mind since reading an article on this subject. That is, can the presence of a lingering tooth ache for the past 2 yrs contribute to both AFIB and HB pressure problems. I also had a root canal treatment more than 2 yrs ago, and had to undergo repairs by my new dentist a year ago who wasn't involved with the initial surgery. However, the recent repair surgery has not been successful as I continue to have sensitivity and aches. If any of these queries can be answered I would be most grateful to hear from a qualified medical respondent.
