I am presently taking Norvasc to lower high blood pressure. Recently I took my blood pressure at home and, leaving the cuff on, I took 6 different readings, one right after the other, just taking time in between to press the Off button on the machine, & then the Start button. The first reading was 148/77. Each next reading was lower significantly, with the last (6th) reading being 115/55 !! I've never taken more than 2 consecutive readings before. In the past, the 2nd reading was always somewhat lower - as much as 10 points lower on the top #. I always figured that for the 1st reading I'm nervous that the reading will be high, & then for the 2nd reading I'm not so worried. But going from 148/77 to 115/55 in less than 5 minutes ????? Is that possible? Does that happening to other people? Or is my machine not working properly (The cuff goes on the arm on my machine, & inflates automatically) - Would appreciate hearing from others on this. Thanks.

I experience the sametype of results;even at Walmart etc. but tends to level out after 2ond reading.
