Thanks a lot for your post. does smoking affect BP in any way? my BP is 140/100. i am not on medication yet, i am trying to lower it by living healthy. i stopped drinking, eating fatty foods and exercise more..but I smoke, about 4 sticks a day. does that matter? thanks a lot

Yes, cigarette smoking raises blood pressure. Work to cut back and quit completely. You can do it! Check with your doctor to learn of local resources to support you.
