hating high blood pressure

By DonnaDean Thursday, September 27, 2007
I have been dealing with high blood pressure for three years and cannot seem to get it under control.  I have taken many bp pills and I am discouraged.  Last year (March of 06) I had a TIA.  My blood pressure was 250/115 and I awoke to stumbling around, not being able to get my balance.  Doctor thought I had MS.  I had a Cat Scan, MRI, eeg and doplar.  I was trying to hold onto my job as a teller(demanding and stressful) but I lost my job last month.  I went to my Neurologist and my blood pressure was 203/133.  She told me that I would never regain my balance again and sent me to a renal doctor.  the neurologist increased my blood pressure meds from 60mg to 120 mg (Inderal LA) and I went to the renal doctor today, my bp was 183/111.....thats with my 120mg!!  He gave me cozaar to take with the Inderal LA and I have to have a kidney ultra sound on Monday.  I do not want to have a stroke.......I just want to be able to walk and clean my house again.  I am about to get depressed.........can anyone help me feel better, I am very weak and no strength.

(1. Find a job where you are actually using your talents; which will take away your stress. People select jobs they don't like. You don't have to stay on a job you hate.

2. Stop trying to make friends with cliques at work. You are there to pay bills to your creditors and save money for your survival.

3. No one is perfect. If you make mistakes, good. That is how you learn to become near perfect.

4. God is able to carry you through. Trust him!

5. Credit cards - Pay minimum on all except one which you will pay maximum payments until you get rid of it. Do that same thing on the next card. NO ONE NEEDS HUNDREDS OF CREDIT CARDS. JUST ONE!

6. No one takes things with them when they die. Do things to enjoy life. Find an interest in sports like tennis, racquetball, a group that likes baseball, go bowling.

- a car with four wheels

- no one makes money with a regular savings. put your money in an e-line savings (electronic savings) at your bank. It is a money market account; has greater interest rates. buy bonds.

-it's good to have one best friend than 10.

-feel good about yourself whether you are ugly or not. yes ugly; there is such a thing to make other people beautiful. you are what you are! Build on your own assets. If you don't have any; dress clean and well and smell good; keep your teeth clean.

-knowledge is power. update your library card and visit the library often. It is quiet and peaceful. There are many other people there.

-do volunteer work at hospitals or nursing homes. you would be surprised how that takes the stress off when you see others that could be you. They need you. Some people have nobody to love them and are alone. Show your love to the needy!

ALL of the above will lower your blood pressure. The most important factor is to love God and yourself.

PS. Get yourself a small pet. Parakeets are beautiful, sing when they are happy and you can train them to speak words from habitually saying the same word or new whistles. Get what you like. The is pets always return love especially dogs.

God's peace be with you!
