How high can your blood pressure go before the worry of a stroke? Yesterday I had a migraine and my blood pressure went up to 210/103. I didn't know whether to call the emergency squad or not. I didn't.
After migraine was gone, 4 hours later, my blood pressure was down to 140/90.
In the future, what high blood pressure reading is just plain too high?

Hi Kathy. I am a moderator for this site and although not medically trained, I hope to help you find answers to your questions.
First I'm assuming you are being treated by a doctor so you would have followed up with him or her.
But now I'm going to say that if you are ever in doubt you should not hesitate to call 911 for help. That is why these folks are there. And speaking from experience - my husband is an EMT/Firefighter - they really don;t mind going out to see people in distress - they are trained for this and can see things you or I migh tnot know to ever look for. SO that is that!
