Vaccine for Hypertension: The Perfect Treatment?

CYT006-AngQb's effect sounds quite attractive. But, in my opinion, it will be only an alternative for ACE- inhibitors or ARB (and I don't know how much will cost this CYT0060).

 

Average systolic drop of 5.6 in patient who have, e.g., uncontrolled high systolic blood pressure above 170 mm.Hg, is not enough effective for blood pressure lowering and preventing coronary heart deases risk. So, in this case, patient should combine vaccine with other antihypertensive medication(s).

Nevertheless, this first step in long term preventing high blood pressure (one shot is effective for several monthes) is quite reassuring for human's future without arterial hypertension. I hope.
