i'm not a medical doctor. i can tell you one thing though is limit your intake on salt. try to  eat most of your meals at home. don't let your condition go untreated seek medical attention immediately. i would reccommend after visitng a primary care physician make the earliest appointment available with a cardiologist. if your cardiologist prescribes medicine take it and monitor you blood pressure carefully. you have to see if medicine is having full effect, take an ECHOCARDIOGRAM, EKG, AND ULTRASOUND. IF MEDICINE IS NOT WORKING TO YOUR benefit stop taking it and contact your doctor immediately. HBP IS THE SILENT KILLER it's better to see doctor to much then too little. Being , an Athlete I'd know these things don't just assume things are fine and normal and let them go untreated. They will get worse if not treated and be harder to control in the long term. Best of luck, if you need a physician please call 949-645-9933.Cool
