Hi Ken:
Doxazoin is given to treat hypertension. If your blood pressure has gone up since starting the medication, you would want to contact your doctor to discuss. Make sure your doctor does have your current, up to date medication list. It will be best for you to monitor your blood pressure routinely for a few days to see if you blood pressure consistently runs 160s'/90's or if it was just a one or two time thing. It's a concern if your blood pressure is consistently elevated. You may then want to ask your doctor what his/her goal is for you blood pressure and how long of a time frame before the medication should effect your blood pressure.
Take care,
Tara
