Q: is there a generic for amlodipine? I have no insurance and it's expensive, even at Wal-Mart.

Hi Ed,

 

Amlodipine is the generic form of Norvasc.  Consider discussing with your physician to determine if a less expensive medication will effectively control your blood pressure.

Amlodipine is a generic for Norvasc.  It should be on the Wal-Mart list.  Also, try Costco, if they have those in your area.  Or Rite Aid...they have a free savings program and a generic list (like Wal-Mart) that make them $8.99.
