Q: is there any blood pressure med that won't make me dizzy?

I have developed high blood pressure; I was on liprosinil with diuretic, it made me to dizzy and lathargic, not to mention the awful cough.  now have been switched to dyazide generic (triamterene/htcz and still dizzy (both with diuretics).  Is there anything that will not make me dizzy?  I sure can't work like this and it sure isn't living!

Hi Ann,

I'm not able to help with the medication issue; however, I wanted to make a quick suggestion.  If you make some diet and lifestyle changes to promote a lower blood pressure you may get to a place you need a lower dose of medication.  A lower dose may not cause the unpleasant side effects.  Or better yet, no meds at all!  Check out the link below for some information on diet and lifestyle changes to lower blood pressure.
