Hi CC,

It's normal for your blood pressure to change depending on what you're doing. It can fluctuate slightly with every heartbeat!

You'll get a good average blood pressure reading if you take your blood pressure at the same time everyday. This will minimize the effect of external factors.

To determine the best time of day to monitor your blood pressure, consult with your MD and make a decision based on your medications, time you take your meds, and lifestyle.  Pick a time and check you blood pressure at that time regularly for a good average blood pressure reading.

All the best,

Lisa Nelson, RD, LN
