Q: I have felt more shortness of breath and chest pain. Is this suppose to happen with this med?

I had a baby on march 20 this year. 4 weeks after that I went in for gallbladder surgery when coming out of recovery on the monitor it was discovered that I have ventricular tachyacardia. I then was told to go see a cardiologist. I did and they put me on bystolic. I was put lisinop/hctz 20-25mg two days ago and today i have felt chest pain and shortness of breath. I am 28 yrs. old

Hi Mjnejxo,

Chest pain is a possible side effect of lisinopril; however, it's considered a severe side effect and you should consult your physician with your symptoms.  Your medication or dosage may need to be changed.
