Q: Is it safe to be on all these blockers at once?

I was hospitalized with malignant hypertension 250/140 in July.  After trying several different meds and suffering renal insufficiency, I am now on Maxide, Exforge 10/320, Hytrin, and Bystolic.  I feel horrible with chest pain, fatigue, exercise intolerance and am getting depressed.  I don't have insurance and am waiting for my GP to find a cardiologist to see me.  Is is safe to be on all these blockers at once?

Hi Gardener,

All medications come with pros and cons.  The most appropriate resource to help you determine if the medications are right for you is your physician.  I recommend discussing your concerns to ensure you understand and agree with the treatment plan.
