Hello Hare,

Diovan, also known as valsaratan, is a relatively common and safe drug.  Common side effects of the drug included headache and dizziness.

Of the two of these, dizziness seems to occur at a slightly higher rate in people taking the higher dose of 320mg over 160mg.

As always, you should discuss any new symptoms with your doctor, especially those that occur in the days and weeks after changing a dose of medication or after adding a new one.

To your health,

Neil MD
