BP meds upped to 320mg Diovan. Took 2x160 to use up and OK. 1 x 320mgs made me ill. Any reason?

Last week my doc increased my Diovan from 160 to 320mgs because I have problems with many BP drugs and my BP was climbing. I used up my 160mgs taking 2 a day together felt fine for a week. Today started 1 x 320mgs. About 3 hours later I was sick, thought I was fainting and felt like I was choking...
