Q: B/P 195/100 pulse 89 feel anxious any cause for worry?

I am 58 and today my blood pressure was 195/100 pl 89 just feel anxious today

Your pressure is quite high.  The question is: did the anxiety cause the elevation in pressure, or is the high pressure causing the anxiety. 


Most people with high blood pressure have no symptoms, unless it is critically high.  Do you otherwise have normal pressure reading?


The safest recommendation is that you make an appointment to see your physician as soon as possible.  He will check your pressure as well as get a sense of your anxiety level.  Then he will be in a better position to judge whether the two are related, and in what way.  If anxiety is the problem, then he will discuss treatment options with you.  If this is all your pressure, then he will address this, if necessary.
