Q: a five yr old blood pressure is 84/50

a five yr old blood pressure is 84/50 is this abnormal and what would u do

Hi Ash,

 

The average blood pressure for a 5 yo is ~95/53 mm Hg. Average blood pressure does vary with height and boy vs. girl. A reading of 84/50 is not that far from the average, but do recommend discussing your concerns with the pediatrician.
