Q: I am taking lisinopril for 2 days now, I am a young woman and cannot climax or get aroused, I also have other side effects too. If I stop taking it will my sexual dysfunction resolve itself

Hi Joy,

 

I recommend discussing with your doctor. You may need to adjust your medication dosage or change to a new blood pressure medication. I encourage you to make diet/lifestyle changes to promote a lower blood pressure. This will reduce your dependence on medication and eliminate the side effects associated with medication. For example, you may want to look into the DASH Diet.
