Two points about your question.
One, typically infections do not cause high blood pressure, but low blood pressure. It has to do with the release of chemical from your immune system and sometimes the bacteria themselves that lower BP. With an infection, you typically see lower blood pressure, higher heart rate, and a fever.
Two, pain, however can cause an increase in blood pressure, especially if you are in moderate to severe pain all of the time. You would notice here also an increased heart rate, fast breathing, but no fever.
Whatever you do, discuss your increased blood pressure with your physicians!
