Q: What should be my target heart rate when exercising, being on a beta-blocker?

When doing cardio, what should be my target heart rate, since i'm on a Beta-blocker?  I'm a 44 year old male on Cozaar, Metoprolol, and Apo-amilorider(diuretic) to control my blood pressure. Thanks.

My pulse was once 72 at rest at 55 I was place on atenlol my blood pressure would suddenly go up.

Now my pulse at rest is always 59 when I work out I can barely make it to 104,  what should 80 percent of my real pulse be when working out.

thanks Jim
