Hi CProffit,

I recommend consulting your primary care physician for a referral to the appropriate specialist. You may be referred to a neurologist and/or cardiologist.

Thank you so much.  I am so discouraged right now I am crying as I type.  My primary care is trying to do everything she can for me, but seems to be to no avail.  Went to a cardiologist, he hadn't even looked at my MRI results and had no interest in them.  Going today to the the Neurologist that my doctor referred me to but when they called this morning to verify appt they didn't even have my MRI results showing that I am having TIA's.  Why should I even go it, I am so discouraged.  I have low blood pressure and good cholesteral so the cardiologist just sent me packing.  Are there doctors out there that care?!?!  Are TIA's common and I just shouldn't worry about it?  Sorry to write a long note and appreciate your help!

Hi CProfit,

I can understand why you are so frustrated. I encourage you to not give up and continue seeking a physician that is going to help you investigate further. TIA's should not be taken lightly and you are right to continue seeking answers and appropriate treatment.
