Q: taking lots of meds?

Is the purpose of taking multiple medications to lower blood pressure the fact each of them has a different focus or the fact that no one med will drop systolic/dystolic pressures more than between 3 and 12 points?

Hi Efittery,

The reason for multiple medications to lower blood pressure may be for either of the two reasons you've listed.  I recommend discussing with your physician the reason he/she has prescribed the different medications for your situation.

All the best,
