why I could not cure my blood pressure as I 've done all
To Whom It May Concern
I'm a retired teacher with 68 years old .I 've had blood pressure
for last 18 months.I tried to decrease my weight;I eat vegetables
fresh fruits . Now I'm 164cm tall with 130pounds weight.
I continued workout ,walking everyday for 1 hour .But
my blood pressure that was 16/9 have not changed.
Now my BP is: 15/8.5 , and something that realy annoys me
is a permanent sound in my head. Of course it is the evidence of my
high blood pressure. It means when I have blood pressure THE
sound is continuing ,and I always feel it.
Now i'm taking a Propanonol tablet a day(40mg).
.For my dinner I usualy have some garlic
with yogurt.I force myself to consider a regimen. But no result.
Please Guide me soon as I've been worried.
Best Regards
Mustafa
Hello mustafa,
In regards to your lifestyle changes, congratulations! Though you have not met your blood pressure goal, know that your eating habits and exercise regardless of your BP improve your health.
You blood pressure not completely responding to your efforts is not surprising. The vast majority of cases of high blood pressure (about 90%), or hypertension as it is called in the medical world, are essential hypertension, meaning that there is no identifiable cause for your blood pressure to be high. In these cases, medications are required to bring down your pressure to a healthier level, regardless of how fit, thin, healthy you are. In some circumstances, essential hypertension may require several different kinds of blood pressure medications.
You should absolutely bring up your blood pressure not being controlled with your lifestyle changes and medication with your physician at your next appointment.
To your health,
Neil MD
