High blood pressure still high with Lisopril and a diuretic??

Thanks for your question. 

 

Lisinopril and a diuretic is a great combination for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).  It takes about 3 three weeks to see the full effect of this medication on your pressure, so it still might be early.  Also, the dose may have to be adjusted which is very common in most people until the right levels are attained.  And, there is the possibility that this is not the right combination for you.  Every patient is unique and requires a regimen that is tailored to their situation.

 

When it comes to treating hypertension, patience is required as the trial and error process proceeds, and the right anti-hypertensive regimen is settled on by you and your doctor.
