I have renal failure induced high BP so why am I on Coreg that is for heart patients?

I have had renal failure for 10 years. Lisinopril has always worked great to keep my BP low but recently it was spiking my potassium. My doctor switched me to nephedipin 60mg but it was not controlling my BP. He recently added 6mg twice a day of Coreg to my 60mg of nephedipin. I have read that...
