what site do I go to find out what and why my doctor prescribed me certin medications and exactly what do they do
Demetrice Frazier,
Thanks for your question.
You have three options to learn more about the medications prescribed by your doctor and why they were prescribed.
First, you can discuss this with your pharmacist who can also provide a written printout about the medication, as well as answer most questions.
Second, you can you any search engine on the internet (such as google) and simply put the name of the medication into the search line. This will bring up several sites about your medication and hopefully answer your questions. You could also use the search box on this website, located in the upper right corner next to the ASK box. After putting the name of the drug into the box, you can select a search of our website, or the internet by clicking the corresponding choices.
And third, the best thing you can do is discuss this with your doctor, who prescribed the medication in the first place. Hopefully, he/she will take the time to answer your questions.
I hope this has been helpful.
