been on diovan a year, started on 80 now 160 mg. Had heart cath blood vessels clean. Pressure spikes up evey afternoon. I am not over wieght or stressed .

Hi Gary,
I recommend you discuss with your physician. The current medication is obviously not working adequately and may require you change medications or switch the dosage/timing again.
I also encourage you to make diet and lifestyle changes that support a lower blood pressure so you dependence on medication is reduced.
