I have been taking Procardia for 2 weeks. I was fine until two days ago. Now I have this really bad headache that a pain killer will not stop. Although my blood pressure is fine this headache is unbearable.

Hi Sophie,
Yes, a headache is a possible side effect of Procardia. I recommend contacting your physician and discussing your options. A medication change may be warranted.

I have been taking Micardis (40 mg) for my BP and my Cardioligist just prescribed Procardia (60 mg) to take in the mornings. By Day 2 of the combo I felt very jittery and my heart raced most of the day and I also experienced the headache mentioned by the previous emailer.
Being unable to function, I did not take the Micardis last night and took the Procardia dosage this morning. I am still having the jittery and heart-racing side effects -- one 'plus' is that the headache is not as intense. Since I cannot contact my physician until Monday I am unsure whether these side effects are due to the combo of meds or are typical and will decrease with time.
Don't know if I need to be concerned ...
