Mary E.   My BP is 180/100 and pulse is 56.  I am a 60 yr. old female who had open Heart Surgery 18 months ago. I too, know my BP is high but how is my pulse. It just start running this low, used to be 65-68. Anyone help.

My BP has been slowing climbing the last three weeks, had been good now for over a year taking metropolol and norvasc. It has started climbing even though my doc upped my metropolol. My pulse has been dropping. Always runs between 65-68 but is now 59 to 52. Cannot hold metropolol because my pressure is too high. Yesterday it was up to 184/104 and pulse of only 60. All day today it has been in the 160's and 150's and pulses around 55 57 sometimes reaches 61 or 62. Added 20 ml. of  micardis 2x a day. Took Micardis in the Doc. office at 5 pm because my pressure was 180/102 and pulse of 59. Advised to take another dose before bed with my reg meds.  Woke up feeling terrible with a pressure of 170/85 and pulse of 57. My BP never actually came down to 148/70 until about 3 pm. today.  Anyone out there with suggestions.
