Can Lotensin cause your penis to not become errect

My husband and I have not able to have sexual intercorse alot lately becuase his penis will not become errect. Is there a possiblity that lotensin has that side effect?

Hi Lisa,

Decreased libido is a rare but potential side effect that can occur from lotensin therapy. Did your husband just start taking this mediation? If so, it is more likely that the medication is causing this effect than if he has been taking lotension for awhile. Your husband should continue to take this medication, but I would recommend that he talk to his physican, as there are many medications that are available to help lower blood pressure.
