The decision on whether or not you should go to the hospital is not necessarily based on a number alone, but rather your overall clinical status.  A blood pressure of 180/10 is high, but if not associated with symptoms is less critical then someone with a blood pressure of 160/110 who complains of chest pain.  In your case I don’t think the question should be when should you go to the hospital, but rather what can you do to make sure you don’t need to go.  It sounds like you require close medical follow-up and need to take blood pressure medications on a regular basis.
