  Jonothon,   Thanks for your posted question.  First of all, congratulations on getting your glucose levels down by adjusting your diet.  Now, as to your change in blood pressure:  there is no connection between your glucose levels returning to the normal range and a rise in your blood pressure readings.  But your readings are elevated and need to be evaluated by your physician who will compare your readings to his/her findings in the office.  If confirmed, he might initiate treatment now, or follow your pressure to be sure this is not just a temporary situation.    Please review this website for more information on high blood pressure and treatment.   Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
