Q: Does Kelp Cause High Blood Pressure?

I am borderline diabetic and on blood pressure med, benicar. I understand kelp is good to flush fat. I need to lose a lot of weight and want to take it but don't want to interfere with my blood pressure meds. Any advice?

Hi Yyuvone,

It is possible for kelp to increase blood pressure in some individuals. There's also a risk of kelp interacting with blood pressure medication. I recommend discussing with your physician before supplementing.
