Q: Why won't my blood pressure read with an electronic blood pressure monitor?

I have had my pressure taken at the doctor's office and at home with an electronic monitor and it won't register. The cuff inflates, deflates, then inflates so many times I have to stop.

Hi Nobloodpressure,

Mostlikely, you're blood pressure monitor is not working correctly.  I recommend taking it with you to the doctor's office so they can watch how you're using it and direct you if any changes are needed or confirm that you have a faulty machine.

The doctor's machine won't read my pressure either. What could this mean?

I'm unable to tell you why the electronic monitor is not working for you.  I recommend monitoring your blood pressure by checking it manually.
