If it is squirting blood, you've either cut a vericose vein, or an artery. Either way you need to be seen at the Emergency department immediately. Keep pressure on the wound, and don;t remove the dressing. Add more dressing on top if necessary. Keep the leg elevated and have someone, or preferably, an ambulance, bring you to the hospital to have the wound cauterized and/or sutured.
