Q: BP rises dramatically when resting, why?

My systolic BP jumps about 30 points  when I am dozing off, resting, watch tv etc. (i.e no activity). However, it returns to normal after being active again, walking eating, exercising etc.

Usually happens in the afternoon  just a few hours after taking meds ( Toprol XL and Atacand) .

Why ?

My bp does that too.  I hope someone has an answer. Do you keep track of your bp so you can show the doctor?
