Hi Pajudo, Avapro is a medication called an ARB which is used in patients with high blood pressure. One of its benefits is that is usually does not cause cough in patients, unlike the class of medications called ACE inhibitors (which are also used to lower blood pressure). When did your cough begin? If it has been present for about the whole time you have been taking Avapro, then it could possibly be caused by the medication. I would recommend talking to you doctor about all the possible things that could be causing your cough. Thanks for your question! Jill
