I want to ween myself off my blood pressure medication(Quinipril) which is causing my hair to thin out and not allowing my hair to grow anymore, is there a natural remedy i can start to take in it's place.
First, I highly recommend you consult your MD before weaning yourself off any medication. Discuss your concerns with Quinipril and see if there is an alternative you can take that does not have this side effect.
If you are still set on not taking medication, do so under your doctor's care. There are MD's that practice a more integrative approach of traditional medicine and alternative approaches (such as nutrition).
Some supplements linked to lower blood pressure include magnesium, potassium calcium, and omega 3 fatty acids. Here's an interesting article that discusses celery's connection to lower blood pressure: www.healthcentral.com/high-blood-pressure/c/63485/49923/weight
So, yes you do have options, but whatever you decide, involve your MD.
All the best,
