Hi Merv:

American Heart Association Recommendations are as follows:

Normal-Systolic: less than 120 and Diastolic: less than 80

Prehypertension-Systolic: 120-139 or Diastolic: 80-89 High Blood Pressure

Stage I-Systolic: 140-159 or Diastolic: 90-99 High Blood Pressure

II-Systolic: 160 or higher or Diastolic: 100 or higher

Hypertensive Crisis (Emergency Care Needed)-Systolic: Higher than 180 or Diastolic: Higher than 110.

"If your blood pressure reading is higher than normal, your doctor may take several readings over time and/or have you monitor your blood pressure at home before diagnosing you with high blood pressure. A single high reading does not necessarily mean that you have high blood pressure. However, if readings stay at 140/90 mm Hg or above (systolic 140 or above OR diastolic 90 or above) over time, your doctor will likely want you to begin a treatment program. Such a program almost always includes lifestyle changes and often prescription medication for those with readings of 140/90 or higher."--AHA

Now your pulse is a little on the low side, it may be normal for you though.  It is more commonly seen in the 40's-60's in well trained athletes. It is recommended that you visit with your health care provider if your pulse is lower than the normal range, you would also want to visit with your doctor about your elevated blood pressure readings.

In my opinion, making a will is entirely up to your decision, that is to each and to his own. Not any one of us in the world knows when our last day on earth will be.

Take care,

Tara
