My husband has high blood pressure.  He just had blood work done and his triglicerides are elevated.  What does elevated tryglicerides have to do high blood pressure? How serious is it?

Hi JV,

 

Triglycerides are a type of fat.  High triglycerides means your husband has hypertension (high blood pressure) and hyperlipidemia (high triglycerides).  Both are conditions directly impacting heart health.  I recommend reading the article below on triglycerides and then submitting any questions you may have.
