My blood pressure is usually 120/70 or so, and very suddenly has jumped to 149/98, I have also deve

developed a sudden allergy to something, which I suspect is caffiene or some other component of coffee!  In the last week when I drink coffee within 20 minutes I am covered in an itchy red rash.  I do not develop breathing problems.  Any comments on this?

Hi Shaktisue,

 

I recommend discontinuing the coffee and contacting your physician for an evaluation to determine the cause and if there is a link to your elevated blood pressure.
