Is there a connection between sudden high blood pressure and vertigo?

My mother is 79 years old. 5 years ago she had breast cancer, got surgery and anastrozole which she's still taking. She also has glaucoma. Recently, she had a strong vertigo attack where she would have fallen had her friend not caught her. Her doctor administered her to the hospital but they did...
