  Monica,   Thanks for your question.  It is possible that your new machine is responsible for your higher readings.  Of course, the situation you are faced with is: which machine is more accurate?  The best way to find out is to make an appointment at your physician's office and take both machines with you.  Compare readings on both machines with readings taking by your health professional.  That will tell you which machine is more accurate.  Don't be surprised if readings from both machines differ from the doctor's.   Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
