Q: low blood pressure in my 10 yr. old autistic granddaughte?

My granddaughter, who is autistic, wanted me to take her blood pressure after seeing me take mine.   Hers was 86/49 pulse 75.   When I looked for "normal" ranges in your forum, hers seems very low?   Is this something to watch?  thankyou for your consideration in answering my question.

Hi PattyDee,

The average blood pressure for a 10 year-old girl is around ~102/60 mm Hg.  There is room for variation, but it doesn't hurt to discuss with her physician.

All the best,

Thankyou so much for your response.   I will be sure to mention this at our next office visit.   Checking her bp is not something that is done very often.   All the best to you as well.
