Q: is the pulse rate an indicator of high or low blood pressure

I'm female, 57, not over-weight retired but active and have a consistent pulse rate of 80 when resting. Is this normal and does it bear any relation to my blood pressure.

That is a good heart rate. You can get it lower(into the 70s) if you do aerobic exercise - walking will work.

it doesn't affect ;your bp - my pulse is 55-60 and my bp is high 160/90
