Q: Tried everything very high BP still a problem

I have chronic pain 5 years now. I also have RA and of course the visicios circle with the pain of depression and anexity.  I have tried several meds, no smoking, no drinking, no sodium, no obesity, and regular activity. Yet my hypertension is still uncontrolled and i am a female barely thirty. Can you recommend anything else to reduce my bp it is often as high as 190/100. What else can I do?

Hi Lyn,

Well done trying different approaches to lower your blood pressure level. Here's another basic step you didn't mention - drastically boost your intake of fruits and vegetables. A very effective diet is the DASH diet.

All the best,
