What would cause a jump in blood pressure of a 9 year old child(femal)?

The child was visiting their grandmother helping her decorate their birthday cake. This gave them a chance to eat extra sweets, sucha s cake with a fatty iceing. The child had been put on a curbing portions of their food for several weeks before. Dluring this time they had lost 6 lbs. of fat.
